Mary Ann started writing songs at age 7 when her parents gave her an Avril Lavigne CD. She hasn't slowed down since.
Influenced by the singer-songwriters and rock trailblazers of the late '90s and early 2000s, she pairs witty stream-of-consciousness storytelling with infectious melodies and crunchy guitars that make you wish it was 2006 so you could plaster the lyrics across your MySpace profile.
Mentored by Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter Sarah Kelly and producer Sweekman, Mary Ann landed on the GRAMMY ballot for Best Rock Performance ("Thanks for the Music"). She recently recorded at EastWest Studios in Los Angeles with legendary producer Mike Clink. She's still pinching herself.
